A Summary of Me

So where to begin my hopefully not too long summary of where I have been these past 21 years?
If you want the really quick version, Lindsay says I: study, sleep, flirt, and work out, with a little eating thrown in there too.
For a little more information...
Quickly through the old stuff: I was born in Maryland (lived in Virginia) an Army brat, and I also lived in Las Vegas and Houston before moving back to Virginia. I admit I was a chubby little kid until I got into middle school, so I won't embarass myself with any of those pictures. But how about one of my parents, because they rock.

I went to Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, only the coolest magnet school. Other than studying in high school, I was in the marching band (and a drum major for 2 years), crew, and gymnastics. I still hang out with my high school friends when I'm home because they are some of the best people I know, and there is no replacing them!

I am now at Georgia Tech as an Aerospace Engineering major and Spanish minor.

So at Tech, here are some of the things I do:
Gymnastics!

Sorority things

Women's Leadership stuff

Hang out with my awesome roommates Jen, Melissa, Emily, Kristy, and Katie (and honorary roommate, Livia)

In college I have co-oped at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, studied abroad in Mexico and Spain, worked at the Aerospace Systems Design Lab, and interned at The Aerospace Corporation. I'm going off to graduate school in the fall, so there will undoubtedly be more blogs about that.

Maybe I'll get on my soapbox for a minute to tell you to study abroad. I did the Language for Business and Technology Program. We stayed 4 weeks in Mexico City and 4 weeks in Madrid and then toured Italy and Paris afterward. I, of course, learned a lot about Spanish and the business and got to tour new and famous places, but living with a family and becoming part of another culture was very influential on my life. It's true that studying abroad in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so do it!

I love Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5, and Marc Broussard. I went to a Marc Broussard concert in November, and it was my first concert I went to by myself, which at first was scary. Nonetheless, it was AMAZING. There are sound clips on his website, so go listen. As for Maroon 5, I hope you've heard of them by now. I started listening to them because of a boy (go figure), and again, SO GOOD. Jen works for the Technique and she managed to get to interview Maroon 5, Marc Broussard, and Gavin Degraw, and stand in the front row, and she brought me along as her photographer. Sweet deal I tell ya.

So that's all I have for right now. If you think I need to add something to my summary here, let me know. :-)
